    1.A: What time did Jane come to the cinema yesterday?

    B: She was late, as usual. The film had already started by the time she got there.

    2.A: Last night was a nightmare!

    B: Why? What happened?

    A: I had forgotten to switch off the lights at my place and when I returned home, I thought that someone had broken into my home. So, I called the police.

    B: How embarrassing! What did you say to the police?

    A: Oops! Sorry!

    3.A: Did you have a good time at the dance the other day?

    B: We didn’t go because nobody invited us. Ezt lehet past perfectel is: …. because nobody had invited us.

    4.A: Simon looked very tired yesterday.

    B: I know. It was because he didn’t sleep well the past 2 days.

    1.A: It’s really hot today! What shall we do?
    B: Let’s go to the beach, shall we?

    2. A: Timothy apologised to Harriet, didn’t he?
    B: Yes, I think he did, last night.

    3. A: Tidy your room, will you?
    B: OK, Mum, I’ll do it now.

    B: Certainly, but you don’t have to ask me all the time, do you? (ez a mondat picit furán hangzik. Nem nagyon illik a párbeszédbe. Én lehagynám a question tag-et)
    A: I suppose you’re right.

    5. A: Marion believes she’s an excellent cook, doesn’t she? (Szerintem ide sem kellene question tag. nem indokolja semmi)
    B: I think so, but she doesn’t cook well, does she?
    A: Of course not.
